Being a MacIntyre volunteer enables you to make an enormous difference to the lives of people with learning disabilities.
Your time, skills and enthusiasm could bring so much to the people we support and really change their lives for the better, bringing huge personal rewards to you.
We welcome individuals who can offer a few hours from time to time or a regular weekly commitment, as well as volunteers from local companies who are looking for a team activity.
Want to help us out but can’t be tied down to a regular slot? We’re always looking for volunteers to support us at events large and small. You might welcome guests at an event, sell raffle tickets, or pack bags in your local supermarket. You sign up and we call when we need you! A few hours a year can make a huge difference to what we can achieve.
Time commitment: occasional throughout the year
Volunteering with us is a great way for you to meet new people and connect with your community. A lot of people who join us as volunteers continue working for us or support us for many years. If you are looking to gain experience, ease your way back into work or learn new skills, volunteering for us gives you plenty of opportunities to expand your network and learn many transferable skills.
Please note that for regular volunteering roles, we will ask you to work with us to complete some necessary background checks. These will normally include taking a work history, references, and a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
