On Friday, we were thrilled to learn Jess Brookes, became a deserving winner at the National Learning Disability & Autism Awards 2024.
Jess was nominated for the Frontline Leader Award (not for profit), in which judges were looking for the person who showed clear commitment to improving the delivery of care and support within their team.
We are proud to have two finalists in the category- Godwin Goremusando, from the Greater Manchester team- was our second finalist. We’re thrilled that Jess’ hard work has been recognised on a national level.
Talking about Jess, the judges said:
‘Jessica is an exceptional frontline leader whose passion for investing in staff was evident throughout her interview. She is supportive of her staff teams and passionate about delivering person centred, solution focused care that is tailored to each resident’s individual’s needs. She has an impact at all levels of her organisation. Well done!’
In response to the win, Area manager Kelly Strouther, said:
'I’m delighted for Jess, winning this award. She’s absolutely fantastic and the team and people we support feel they can go to her about anything, she will always give them the time and help however she can. She is an inspiration and supports the team to be the best they can be.'
Congratulations once again to Jess, from everyone at MacIntyre.
