We’re delighted to announce we have two Great British Care Awards finalists!
Both Zoey Cussons and the Co-Production team will be flying the MacIntyre flag high as they eagerly anticipate the results from their nominations at the finals on Friday 22nd March at the ICC Birmingham.
Zoey has been nominated for the Supported Living Manager award and the Co-Pros team have been nominated for the Co-Production Award.
The nomination describes Zoey as:
an incredible manager - completely knowledgeable, genuinely caring of her staff teams, and so invested in pushing the services she manages towards excellence in all that they do.
It also highlighted the impact she has on all who live in the homes she manages and for the families of those who draw on our support; over the past year, Zoey took responsibility for a gentleman’s home which was threatened with closure.
Her dedication has inspired the team to push to create a more homely environment for him and to truly reach for the stars with regards to his life experiences.
This committed approach saw him not only take, but enjoy his first holiday away for years.
It’s not just a happy ending for Zoey, as her hard work has meant the gentleman involved is now happily living in his own home in one of our supported living services!
In response to the nomination, Jess Brookes, the Frontline Manager who works with Zoey, added:
Zoey is kind and calm and approachable, but when it comes to the services she takes ultimate responsibility for, she is like a lioness protecting those she cares for. She has inspired and mentored me to become a better manager, to know that kindness with my time is the most valuable asset I can offer my teams, and that there is not much that can't be improved with dedication, hard work and a sense of humour!
We’re so incredibly proud of the nominees and best of luck on the night! You are the deserved winners in our eyes!
