Earlier this month we were delighted to receive a cheque for £1,000 from the Moto Foundation.
Grant nomination
MacIntyre was nominated for the grant by a Moto colleague, Hayley Adams, who had previously worked for MacIntyre and was delighted to be able to gain support for the charity.
Hayley said:
MacIntyre will always hold a special place in my heart, I have so many fond memories from working with such talented and inspiring learners at MacIntyre No Limits. I was delighted when I realised that the Moto Foundation had such a great community grants scheme which support charities and schools within local communities, I couldn’t be happier that Moto Foundation have been able to support MacIntyre School with their new developments on this occasion.
An Immersive Learning Space
The grant will benefit the young people who attend MacIntyre School near Aylesbury where a new Immersive Learning Space is nearing completion. The space will be used to simulate real world experiences such as going shopping or to the dentist and will enable students to learn and become confident in these environments within a safe space and then apply what they have learned to the real world, making community experiences less frightening and more enjoyable.
Claire Kennedy, Head of Fundraising at MacIntyre said:
We are very grateful to the Moto Foundation for this donation which will enable us to complete this amazing new space at the School.
