We’ve been having a gloriously busy summer around MacIntyre, with fetes, barbeques, talent shows and so much more.
Oswestry celebration
A few weeks ago, we held a celebration in Oswestry to mark Learning Disability Day.
Organised by one of our Support Workers, Katie, it was a resounding success.
We took stalls in Oswestry Market where we ran a tombola and a raffle. We gave out information about MacIntyre to people who hadn’t heard about us before, and raised funds. We had a Public Living Room, we had flowers woven into people’s hair, and we wrote what gives us joy on heart-shaped card.
Meeting the Mayor
The Oswestry Mayor, who has been a great supporter of MacIntyre and what we do, came along to chat to everyone and give her support.
Dancing the day away
And the MacIntyre Dancers travelled up from Milton Keynes to perform two of their favourite numbers.
Thanks to everyone who helped make this day such a success, including all who contributed to our fund-raising. We’re already looking forward to next year!
