Earlier this year we made the decision to introduce Welcome Packs for all our new colleagues. As a charity this is a significant investment, but one which we felt was important to provide our new colleagues with some core information and the value that we place on them joining our teams.
We worked alongside I-Tel Group to produce these packs and were delighted when Welcome Break, another of I-Tel’s clients, offered a donation to cover the cost of the Stand Out Socks, one of the items included in the pack.
We started rolling out these packs earlier this month and have already had great feedback:
This was really helpful. I am new to this sort of work, and the resources - and my new manager - made me feel so welcome. And I love wearing my socks!

A big thank you to Welcome Break and its charitable fund for this fantastic donation. It was lovely to meet Julia Feazey, Josh Cracknell, and Victoria Deaton from the fund committee. MacIntyre provides support, learning, and care to more than 1,400 children, young people, and adults across the UK. Without the dedication and commitment of our colleagues, this would not be possible. Our people are what makes MacIntyre and it’s for this reason that we work hard to recognise our teams.
This donation will help fund the new starter packs welcoming new members to our team and forms part of our commitment to staff engagement and recognition.
A huge thank you to Paul Keenan and Mel Gauci at I-Tel Group for their continued support in developing our engagement programme and facilitating an introduction to our Milton Keynes neighbours Welcome Break!
