Our team at Abingdon are always looking for ways to connect in their neighbourhood.
Both staff and students are very creative and wanted to do something special this Christmas.
One day Emma, one of our Programme Coordinators, was walking along the road and saw a sign outside a shop indicating it could be rented for one-off occasions. She immediately thought this would be a great venue for a Christmas fair.
Talking to the students and staff, they brought together a plan to hold a Meet and Greet on 2nd December.
And so the creative winter wonderland swung into high gear. Students and staff are making amazing decorations to sell, all of them eco-friendly.
There will be refreshments and fun activities - something for everyone.
And all this has come from one person keeping their eyes open when out walking one day, and seizing the opportunity of a pop-up shop.
