In the latest of our Humans of MacIntyre series, we meet Rachel Frank, MacIntyre's central Recruitment Administrator.
Rachel joined our Recruitment Team in the middle of 2023. Her role means she liaises with candidates and colleagues around the country. If you're joining MacIntyre, you'll probably talk to her at some point.
Rachel answers queries and gives advice, provides a final cross-check of all candidates’ pre-employment checks, keeps a whole raft of records and stats, and perhaps most importantly for us all, she passes information to our payroll team to ensure new staff get paid!
Teaching background
Having gained a history degree, Rachel spent some time as a Teaching Assistant, working with pupils who have special educational needs.
Building at IKEA
And then immediately before joining MacIntyre, Rachel worked in the children’s and bedrooms department of IKEA (yes she could build your wardrobe for you!)
A new values-aligned job
When she started looking around for a new role, Rachel wanted something that would both use her skills and align with her values and priorities.
She was aware of MacIntyre already, and has a sibling who has a learning disability, so when she saw the job advertised it immediately felt like the right fit. We’re all so pleased she found us.
Learning Python...
Rachel values learning, and in her spare time she’s teaching herself the Python programming language.
...and playing with rabbits
She also enjoys spending time with friends, family… and her two pet rabbits.
You can find out more about Rachel in the latest episode of the Sui Ling Show.
