At MacIntyre we reward passion, dedication and quality by offering a broad range of specialist training and development opportunities. The new Therapeutic Support Worker is just one example of a role that offers our employees career growth through upskilling.
We couldn’t do what we do without our brilliant staff and so as well as continually offering personal development opportunities we have made the decision to increase our salaries for our Children’s Homes Support Workers with effect from 1 December.
The new salaries will be:
- Support Worker - £21,500
- Qualified Support Worker - £23,000
- Therapeutic Support Worker - £24,000
Every year we are reliant on our funding authorities to provide fee increases in order that we can pass this benefit on to our teams. We have made this decision in advance of the change to the National Minimum Wage to this hourly rate from April 2022 and anticipate that, from April, our funders will be preparing to recognise this increased cost for organisations like MacIntyre.
Feedback from a MacIntyre member of staff at a recent training day:
‘Thank you for inviting me to “Grow your own career within MacIntyre” today. It showed what a great organisation MacIntyre is to really invest in its staff. I have only been at MacIntyre since February but the support, training and guidance I have had has honesty been the best in my career. It feels like such a team effort which is so refreshing!’
We hope this move will be welcome and will also help to attract exceptional new people to join us.
