In case you missed it, throughout August, we explored the six principles that make up MacIntyre’s Approach.
These six principles are:
1) Our Purpose –
Our Purpose is the way in which we talk about MacIntyre. At our very core, our values and our DNA are the same now as when we were founded.
2) The Big Plan –
The Big Plan was developed in consultation with the people who draw on MacIntyre’s support and sets out our way of working together.
3) Everyone Everywhere –
Everyone Everywhere is the answer to the question posed in the Big Plan. How can we all meet people near to where we live to make things better for everyone?
Too often there’s an assumption that people with disabilities are the ones that need help. The people who draw on our support are out to disprove that theory.
4) MacIntyre Quality Framework –
The foundations of MacIntyre’s quality approach start with our recruitment process. We believe that a focus on attracting people who share MacIntyre’s values is crucial for delivering high quality and person-centred support.
5) Leadership DNA –
At MacIntyre we know that anyone can be a leader regardless of job title. The MacIntyre Leadership DNA is a simple image with a lifetime of learning and development opportunity within it. It is deliberately straightforward to ensure everyone in MacIntyre can quickly understand the principles that underpin the leadership approach we strive for.
6) Connections –
At MacIntyre we always want to do better. We are a progressive organisation and want to have genuine impact on the world around us.
We are the solution to some of the big questions within the social and voluntary sectors in the connections we form – through Social Care Future, Gloriously Ordinary Lives and being More Than A Provider.
Ultimately though, Our Approach isn’t something we just talk about, nor is it something we showcase for a month; it’s embedded into everything we do and makes up our DNA to make MacIntyre, well, MacIntyre.
