Have you ever noticed that people thrive when they’re in the right environment?
Well, at MacIntyre, we take great pride in helping people create an environment where they can do exactly that, whatever it looks like to them. But who are we?
In case you weren’t aware, we are a national charity that provides education, support and care for more than 1,400 children, young people and adults with learning disabilities and autism, across England and Wales. We were founded in 1966 by Kenneth Newton-Wright, the parent of a disabled child and have grown to become a leading charity shaping inclusive and welcoming neighbourhoods where people with learning disabilities and autistic people are able to contribute, connect and lead gloriously ordinary lives.
This August, we’re explaining what makes MacIntyre, well, MacIntyre.
Our Approach is how we do things, and it’s made up by six main principles. These are:
1) Our Purpose
2) The Big Plan
3) Everyone Everywhere
4) MacIntyre Quality Framework
5) MacIntyre Leadership DNA
6) Connections
The video below explains each of these principles and how they help make up our DNA:
Look out across our website and social media pages for more about each of these principles, and find out why we do what we do.
