Recently, our Practice Development Facilitator Anita Taylor, popped in for a chat with MKFM to discuss MacIntyre DanceSyndrome.
Anita provides a brief overview of MacIntyre as well as the origins of DanceSyndrome:
“MacIntyre DanceSyndrome is part of a franchise with DanceSyndrome, which is a company set up by Jen Blackwell. Jen, who has Down’s Syndrome wanted to teach dance, but realised there were no opportunities for her and so decided to open her own dance school.”
DanceSyndrome is a multi-award winning inclusive dance charity based in Lancashire that focuses on including people of all abilities.
The collaboration with the franchise allows MacIntyre to train people to become Dance Leaders, who will then run their own dance classes in Milton Keynes, Oxford, Warrington, and Shropshire.
