Going above and beyond to support new colleagues

20 December 2022
News

Today we would like to introduce you to Jess Allen from MacIntyre No Limits™ Oxfordshire who was the winner of the "Newcomer to MacIntyre or Role" category in this year's MacIntyre Newton Wright Awards.

One of the nominations for Jess read:

“It was clear that she was the person for the job from the very first day.”

Jess Allen joined MacIntyre’s No Limits™ team in Oxfordshire as an Administrator a year ago. The role had been vacant for some time so she needed to learn the role and single-handedly bring order to the chaos to get everything back up to date.

Yvonne Nugent, Head of MacIntyre No Limits, said:

“Jess does her job with a passion and every day does a little extra without ever being asked. At the annual celebration for learners she took the lead and organised an ice cream bike and for alpacas to appear on the day which made it great fun for everyone.”

Her colleagues said

“Jess took time to get to know her colleagues and the students, asking questions and gaining knowledge above and beyond her role simply so that she could understand the entire provision for her own piece of mind, and become a font of information and support for everyone in a very short time.”

MacIntyre No Limits™ provides further education for young people aged 16-25 in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Leicestershire and Oxfordshire.

Could you join our No Limits or our Administrator teams? We currently have vacancies.
