Our Families Podcast is evolving
Thank you to all the loyal listeners of MacIntyre's Podcast for Families. There's a change coming, and this episode tells you all about what we're doing.
A broader audience
MacIntyre wants to spread the word about our ground-breaking work. We support children, adults, and young people with a learning disability or autism. We want to talk about careers in social care and education. We also want to talk about the value everyone brings to our society.
This is our last episode before we pause for the summer. In it, our podcast host, Nicola Payne, explains that we'll drop "Families" from the name. We'll broaden our focus for the podcast when we return in September.
A bit of background
Nicola Payne is MacIntyre's Best Practice Manager for Health and Families. She started the podcast back in the days of Covid-19 as another way of keeping in touch.
The podcast blossomed. It became a series of informative interviews with a wide range of guests. Our stats show we have listeners from around the world: from the UK, the US, France, Germany, and Belgium.
Building on our expertise
We want to build on that expertise and audience. We plan to showcase MacIntyre's work. We'll share ideas for how autistic people, and people with a learning disability, can live 'gloriously ordinary lives'.
Returning in September
We return for Season 4 of the podcast in September. We'll have a new host, Tess Clare Marshall, Communications Lead at MacIntyre. Our first guest will be MacIntyre's CEO, Sarah Burslem.
We are, however, very happy that Nicola Payne has agreed to be a regular guest host of the podcast.
So we look forward to you tuning in when we relaunch in September. Meanwhile, here's the latest podcast.
