We’re absolutely thrilled to share that MacIntyre in Wrexham has been rated ‘Excellent’ across all areas.
We were delighted to host Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) earlier in June. The two-day inspection thoroughly reviewed our practices, as well as receiving feedback from people who draw on MacIntyre’s support, Wrexham Council and other people we work with.
The report highlighted how impressive the care provision is from the team, with a particular focus on the co-produced, individualised care plans:
There are excellent governance arrangements in place, ensuring clear lines of delegation and exceptional oversight of the service.
Personal plans are exceptionally person-centred, detailed and reflect people’s specific needs, and are reviewed and changed accordingly.
Care staff work from very high-quality personal plans that are written with the person and cater for people’s preferences.
The Inspector was invited back for a second day to meet a few of the people who draw on MacIntyre’s support, and told the team it was a really lovely inspection.
Reflecting on the two days, the CIW Inspector recognised what sets MacIntyre apart is being outward-facing, and an active part of the community. They commented on how we are trying to share good ideas and practice, to influence the wider sector, by working with others to actively change.
In response to the news, Area Manager, Carly Morrissey, said:
“I’m immensely proud, in not only the managers and the staff teams, but in the fact that everyone is being supported in a way that they're able to live their life how they want. Why would you not want to celebrate that?
What was lovely is the Inspector spoke about our approach and that we don’t celebrate it enough, because ‘it’s just what we do’. But they're the bits really that helped us achieve this Excellent rating!”
What’s next for the team? Carly replied:
“Reflective practice is key. We don’t want to stand still; we came straight away from the inspection and said ‘Okay, where can we go with this? What can we do in the next 12 months? How can we make sure we don’t stop?’ We've been rated ‘Excellent’, which is great, but we still need to keep pushing forward.”
Well done team!
Newyddion ‘ardderchog’ i gloi’r wythnos!
Rydym wrth ein bodd yn rhannu bod MacIntyre yn Wrecsam wedi cael ei sgorio'n ‘Ardderchog’ ar draws pob maes.
Roedd yn bleser gennym groesawu Arolygiaeth Gofal Cymru (AGC) yn gynharach ym mis Mehefin. Adolygodd yr arolygiad deuddydd ein harferion yn drylwyr, a chafwyd hefyd adborth gan bobl sy'n tynnu ar gymorth MacIntyre, Cyngor Wrecsam a phobl eraill rydym yn gweithio â nhw.
Amlygodd yr adroddiad ba mor drawiadol yw’r gofal gan y tîm, gan ganolbwyntio’n benodol ar y cynlluniau gofal unigol, a gaiff eu cyd-gynhyrchu:
Mae trefniadau llywodraethu ardderchog ar waith, gan sicrhau llinellau dirprwyo clir a throsolwg eithriadol o'r gwasanaeth.
Mae cynlluniau personol yn canolbwyntio'n eithriadol ar yr unigolyn; maent yn fanwl ac yn adlewyrchu anghenion penodol pobl, a chânt eu hadolygu a'u newid yn unol â hynny.
Mae'r staff gofal yn gweithio o gynlluniau personol o ansawdd tra uchel sy'n cael eu llunio gyda'r person ac sy'n darparu ar gyfer hoffterau pobl.
Gwahoddwyd yr Arolygydd yn ôl am ail ddiwrnod i gwrdd â rhai o'r bobl sy'n tynnu ar gymorth MacIntyre, a dywedodd wrth y tîm ei fod yn arolygiad hyfryd iawn.
Gan ystyried y ddau ddiwrnod, cydnabu Arolygydd AGC mai’r hyn sy’n gosod MacIntyre ar wahân yw ei fod yn edrych tuag allan, ac yn rhan weithredol o’r gymuned. Gwnaeth sylwadau ar sut rydym yn ceisio rhannu syniadau ac arfer da, i ddylanwadu ar y sector ehangach, trwy weithio gydag eraill i newid yn weithredol.
Mewn ymateb i’r newyddion, dywedodd y Rheolwr Ardal, Carly Morrissey:
“Rwy’n hynod falch, nid yn unig o’r rheolwyr a’r timau staff, ond yn y ffaith bod pawb yn cael eu cefnogi mewn ffordd y gallant fyw eu bywyd fel y mynnant. Pam na fyddech chi eisiau dathlu hynny?
Yr hyn oedd yn hyfryd yw bod yr Arolygydd wedi siarad am ein hymagwedd ac nad ydym yn ei ddathlu ddigon, oherwydd ‘dyma’r hyn a wnawn’. Ond dyma'r pethau a'n helpodd ni i gyrraedd y sgôr ‘Ardderchog’ hon!”
Beth sydd nesaf i'r tîm? Atebodd Carly:
“Mae ymarfer adfyfyriol yn allweddol. Dydyn ni ddim am sefyll yn llonydd; fe ddaethon ni yn syth o'r arolygiad a dweud ‘Iawn, ble gallwn ni fynd gyda hyn? Beth allwn ni ei wneud yn y 12 mis nesaf? Sut gallwn ni sicrhau nad ydyn ni’n stopio?’ Rydyn ni wedi cael ein sgorio'n ‘Ardderchog’, sy'n wych, ond nid da lle gellir gwell."
Da iawn i’r tîm!
