We have some outstanding employees at MacIntyre and every month one person from each division is chosen to be our Employee of the Month.
Below are the names of the winners in the categories of MacIntyre Adult Social Care, Children and Young People, MacIntyre No Limits™, and Specialist Support Services, together with an extract from their nominations.
Rachel Winup – Adult Social Care, Milton Keynes
Rachel is truly dedicated to supporting people in living their best lives. She brings warmth, kindness, and an infectious smile to every activity and event she takes part in across Milton Keynes. Her enthusiasm and willingness to get involved make a real difference in the lives of the people she supports. Rachel has made a massive impact at MacIntyre, touching so many lives with her hard work, compassion, and unwavering dedication. She is deeply loved by everyone who knows her, and her commitment to MacIntyre’s values shines through in everything she does. Rachel consistently goes above and beyond, always showing up with care and dedication.
Steve Hayes – Children & Young People, Woodland View, Hertfordshire
Over the last month Steve has supported a young person's progress massively and used his experience, confidence and relationship with this young person to inform his practice in supporting them to have more positive experiences and engage in more both inside the home and out in the community. Steve has embodied the MacIntyre DNA: He has been ambitious for this young person, which has paid off massively - he has been for walks near the home, sat in a local café and gotten off the vehicle to spend time with some ponies. Steve has also ensured this young person felt in control by listening to their wants and needs and empowering them to make decisions. He has also led newer members of the team in supporting confidently, positively and learning their own 'style' of support. Steve's also taken a lead on H&S within Woodland View, which has had a knock on effect with other members of the team who are following in his footsteps.
Sabah Zubair - MacIntyre No Limits Bedfordshire
Sabah is passionate and caring manager. Sabah is always welcoming and encourages the team to look after their wellbeing. This month Sabah organised a sound bath for the No Limits team in Bedford, after work, to promote a healthy work life balance. Sabah is an asset to the team at Bedford, and we all value her.
Sabah has supported the team throughout the last month while her colleague Programme Coordinator has been away. She has stepped up and allowed colleagues and students to feel safe and secure. Sabah has taken on the responsibility to ensure colleagues have the support in place and are able to approach her with any concerns. Sabah is a vital part of the Bedford No Limits team and has really shown what a wonderful and supportive person she is.
Andrea Griffiths – Specialist Support Services
Sometimes someone joins your team and they have an instant positive impact. Andrea is that someone. The moment I met her at interview for a Regional Administrator, I knew she would fit it well with the team and had a lot of skills and experience to offer. She has just passed her six-month probationary period with flying colours and I wanted to nominate her for Employee of the month because I still don't think she realises just how much nicer it feels to come to work now she is part of our team in Wrexham and Wirral. She is incredibly helpful and proactive, always asking what else she can do to support staff and people who draw on our support. She is a naturally kind and compassionate person, a great listener with staff, old and new, who find her easy going nature and friendliness very comforting. She is a quick and efficient worker and can be relied upon to get things done to deadline with very little guidance. She respects that people like to work and learn in different ways and always tries to adapt herself to keep everyone in the team happy. She is an all round funny, compassionate and capable team member who already goes the extra mile, supporting MacIntyre events in her own private time and spending time at the weekend sourcing things for parties or projects. She embodies MacIntyre's DNA without even realising it.
