Yesterday in our 12 Gifts of Christmas series, we talked about the importance of everyone having a voice. Today, we're celebrating the importance of listening to those voices.
The gift of Listening
Every year, MacIntyre celebrates the Marjorie Newton Wright Awards, named after one of our founders. These staff awards go to individuals and teams who exemplify the values set out in MacIntyre's DNA.
In 2023, the award for Outstanding Frontline Employee, Children and Young People Division, was won by Timothy Trille from Oxfordshire. Here are some words from his nominations:
Tim is always looking to improve his facilitation skills, he supports colleagues, he is diligent, creative and energetic. He is a wonderful team player and a good listener, making sure everyone feels heard. One of his nominations stated: "everyone needs a Tim in their life."
