Wheels in Warrington
Simon Kelly’s recent climb to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro raised in excess of £2,700 for MacIntyre’s Warrington Lifelong Learning services.
The money raised has gone towards buying some specially adapted trikes for the services learners as well as a bike shed to keep them in.
Martin, a learner from the centre who has cerebral palsy, was thrilled with the news that new trikes were on their way to the service, enabling him to move around and enjoy the New Routes horticulture centre and the local surrounding park.
Darren’s Dream
Darren’s dream was to holiday in Sweden. Through MacIntyre’s “Your Money” Fund, Darren applied for assistance to help him realise this dream. Darren received £500 to enable him to book his holiday with his keyworker.
Darren says: “I would like to say a huge thank you for my £500 for my Swedish holiday. We had a great time. We visited the ABBA shop and went to the Stockholm Kulturfestival as well as other stuff just too much to mention.”
